Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are deliberately short. SilentCut has not launched a product yet, so today silentcut.ai is a website you read, not a service you sign up for — and its rules fit on one page.
Each section opens with a plain-language summary. The summaries help you scan; the full text underneath is what applies.
Who we are
In short: You're reading the rules for using silentcut.ai.
These terms of service (the “terms”) govern your use of silentcut.ai (the “site”), operated by SilentCut (“we”, “us”). By visiting the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the site is not for you.
What the site is today
In short: SilentCut is pre-launch. Right now this site is our writing and our community.
The site currently publishes articles and guides and points to our Discord community. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no software service to use yet.
When the SilentCut product launches, these terms will grow the sections a real service needs — accounts, subscriptions, acceptable use of the product itself. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and we will say so in the community before new terms take effect.
Using the site
In short: Read it, share it, link to it. Don't attack it or strip-mine it.
You may browse, read, link to, and share the site freely. A few things you may not do:
- Interfere with the site's operation, or probe, scan, or test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
- Scrape the site in bulk to republish its content elsewhere, including to feed systems that reproduce it as their own.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or misrepresent an affiliation with SilentCut.
Our content
In short: Our words and design are ours. Quote with credit; don't republish wholesale.
Everything on the site — text, design, graphics — belongs to SilentCut unless credited otherwise. You are welcome to quote excerpts with attribution and a link back. Republishing whole articles, or presenting our content as yours, is not permitted without written consent.
“SilentCut” and the SilentCut wordmark are our brand. Other names and marks appearing on the site belong to their owners.
Feedback
In short: Ideas are welcome, and we can build on them without owing you anything.
If you send us feedback or suggestions — on Discord or anywhere else — you agree that we may use them freely, without confidentiality, credit, or compensation obligations. Please don't send ideas you consider proprietary.
Third-party links and communities
In short: Discord and other links lead to other people's houses, with their own rules.
The site links to services we do not control, including our Discord server — hosted by Discord and governed by Discord's own terms and guidelines on top of our community rules. Links to third-party sites are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for what you find there.
No warranties
In short: The site is provided as is. Articles are information, not professional advice.
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — including accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability. Articles and guides are general information, not professional advice; decisions you make from them are your own.
Limitation of liability
In short: To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for damages from using a free website.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SilentCut is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes, governing law, and contact
In short: The date at the top tracks changes. Quebec law applies. Discord is the door.
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date above changes with every revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Questions about them are welcome in our Discord community — currently the fastest way to reach us.
