Introduction

Start here: what SilentCut does, where it runs (in the browser, in Premiere Pro and in DaVinci Resolve), and which guide to follow for your first cut.

Updated October 4, 2026

SilentCut is an AI video editor for talking content. It makes the mechanical cuts in interviews, podcasts, tutorials and course footage in one pass: the silences, the filler words and the retakes. Every cut lands as a regular edit you can trim or undo.

The tools

  • Silence Remover finds every silent gap and cuts it, with an adjustable silence sensitivity and minimum gap length.
  • Speech Cleanup removes filler words, stutters, false starts, unfinished sentences and repetitions. English first.
  • Best-Take Selector highlights every version of a repeated line, lines the takes up side by side, and keeps the one you pick or the one the AI recommends.

Cuts the pass is less sure about wait in the Review List for your call.

Where it runs

  • SilentCut Studio, in the browser: drop a recording into the web editor and export the cut video.
  • SilentCut for Premiere Pro: a panel that cuts your sequence. Follow the Premiere Pro guide.
  • SilentCut for DaVinci Resolve: cuts your timeline, in DaVinci Resolve and DaVinci Resolve Studio. Follow the DaVinci Resolve guide.

The plugins connect to your account with an API key from your account page. Your video stays on your computer: SilentCut uploads only the recording's audio to find the cuts.

Plans

The Free plan includes the Silence Remover with no limit and no card. The Editor plan adds Speech Cleanup and the Best-Take Selector with 20 AI hours a month, and the Agency plan includes 60. See pricing.
